Wake up!! It's Christmas!

We've done the gifts here at home. Tony is up there putting together the various toys that require adult assembly. So, yes, he is cussing on Baby's Jesus' birthday. The pirate ship has been giving him a real headache.
I woke up at six ready to shake the kids awake, and get the day started. This is from the women that slept in until noon yesterday. I'll only wake up at six for the REALLY important things, like the house is on fire, and Christmas. But, they dozed on, so I went back to bed. It was the best thing to do, becuase I would have missed the excited shake from my daughter saying "Wake up mom! It's Christmas!!" It was nice.
Tony stumbled around to make coffee, and I went out to the living room. I told the kids to see if there were any presents that had different wrapping paper than what I had, those were probably from Santa (I buy special paper to wrap my Santa gifts. I never quite understood as a child, how Santa happened to have the SAME wrapping paper as my mom) and they picked those out.
Once Daddy sat down, it was a tear fest. Jonny wasn't really into it. For some reason he decided to be a surly bastard this morning. Near the end though, he started to get into it.
The gift de jour of course has been the fucking Tekno Puppy. Is it bad that it's only 9 am and I want to kick Tekno in the throat? He never stops yapping, and he makes the most obnoxious noises when he walks. Oh, did I mention, he WHINES. Yes, it like having a real puppy. I wonder if if going to start pooping plastic bits on my carpet soon. Jonny has been entranced by Tekno, and keeps insisting he wants a "PINK Tekno puppy, Mommy! I wanna PINK one" which is making Tony sweat a bit. He keeps blustering "What about a nice BLACK one buddy" But, no, Jonny keeps on about the Pink one.
I got brownies in the oven for my Papa Fred, and I got all the gifts wrapped for my family. Next I have to get together the chili cheese dip, and take a shower. I forgot to buy batteries for the various toys, so Tony has to make a run to Wal Greens. (Yes they are open thank God)
I hope you have found yourself surrounded by a million bits of paper this morning, and if not at least lying in bed with someone you love, or kind of love, or at least you remember their name. I hope you have a wonderfu day doing whatever it is you do today. I hope you're not sad and lonely today. If you are, remember I'm here and I'm thinking of you. Sappy I know, but I hate thinking of people being lonely on this day.
Oh! God! I forgot!! Tony and I have jumped into the present and he got me a LAPTOP for Xmas!! It's not here yet, but should be soon. A NICE one, I can blog and play sims in bed now. I'll probably become the next 700 lb woman. The fire department will have to come and get my out of bed everyday. I can't wait!

I wasn't lonely on Christmas Day. I spent all day playing with Pink Tekno Gee-Gee.
