When it comes to fitness and losing weight, the first line of defense has always been Richard Simmons. His life has been centered on helping overweight and obese women lose weight with fun and exciting fitness routines. Richard Simmons fitness routines are based on aerobics that will increase the heart rate without breaking down the muscles and joints of the body. This is important especially in women and men who are obese with health problems related to the extra weight on the body.

Richard Simmons was born on July 12, 1948. His given name is Milton Teagle Simmons. Throughout the earlier years of his life, Richard Simmons suffered from obesity which is the reason he focused on losing weight and turning his life around to help others lose weight as well. The real change occurred after Richard Simmons moved to Los Angeles. He worked as a Maitre d' in a Beverly Hills restaurant. He did not like the way people were trying to lose weight through fad methods and started his own line of gyms. His gyms focused more on people who needed to lose weight instead of the traditional gym that pulled in the customer that was already fit and needing to keep their body in shape.

Over the next 30 years, Richard Simmons is credited with saving the lives of many overweight and obese people. In recent news, Richard Simmons offered advice to Jessica Simpson who was all over the gossip blogs for gaining weight thanks to some unforgiving photos during a recent concert. According to Richard Simmons, the star may be eating out of emotion and needs to focus more on herself and not what other people have to say.

The personal life of Richard Simmons has been a huge topic of discussion over the years. With no partner in life, some believe Richard Simmons to be more introverted than his attitude shows. According to one quote, Richard Simmons has a lot to offer people, but not just one person.

Cool article on Richard Simmons. He is a really empathetic person, I saw him on Glenn Beck one time, and they were talking about weight, it was almost eerie. That's weird that he is, apparently, asexual or without a partner. Interesting post.

I love Richard. He is a sweet, caring man. I am sure he has a rich love life...he just has the good sense to keep it private. Perhaps his partner doesn't share his love for the spotlight.

I don't think you can be introverted and wear those shorts-ha ha!

Thanks for the great post on Richard! I actually lost a lot of weight sweatin' to the oldies back in the day!
