The Great Divide

How long will it be before big business sponsors 'professional' criminals as a justifiable business activity and will it then become tax deductable ?
It might seem a little far fetched at first but are we really that far away from the comercial next step. Ask yourself this, if you were offered $3m to perpetrate a crime that would result in a minimum of 5 years jail would you do it ?
Exclude the moral and obscene crimes to make it easy, choose something that was serious enough to attract worldwide media attention, book rights and the usual pay televison mini series. Enough fodder for any sponsor to get a return form the deal even with paying out $3m up front !
If you don't believe the money is there now you are kidding yourself, $3m from a pay tv channel to get the material and long term dividends is chicken feed these days. The prolification of cheap reality TV shows such as Big Brother, Dancing & Singing competitions and even cooking shows is proof that movies cost too much.
The only thing that is stopping them is the lack of an offer, the legal aspects of profiting from the crime could easily be covered by a half straight lawyer. The moral choice is already resolved by the audience, the human race has an endless fascination with dark and dastardly stuff.
As for the perpetrators I guess yuou don't need much evidence that people will do anything for a few dollars let alone a life changing sum.
So how many years before we see it happen or are you still living in the 1950s where people respected moral boundaries and didn't smoke pot ?
