Some dogs have all the fun

The message was prominently displayed on a post that everyone passed, it was obviously designed to attract as many passers by as possible.
Dad, in one of his famous parenting lectures about growing up, had told me I’d come across these sorts of things. I can remember his words.. 'your not bad looking so you won’t have a problem with the girls, just gotta watch out for those that try too hard to get noticed'
He didn’t say why but then he never elaborated about anything much 'cept the football of course. I guess this was one of those situations, the message was pretty explicit…
‘Young and exciting girl seeks fun and good times with a strong and versatile male. Interests include keeping fit, going to beach and picnics, love meeting new people. Not looking for anything serious unless you are the one! Meet me in the park, I am an open minded bitch !’
Just begining to imagine how much fun could be had with someone like that started the blood pumping, a close inspection would give me away. Even the thought that such free and open advertising might deliver a regular stream of suitors wasn't enough to clear the imagines in my mind.
Then a niggling thought entered my head and wouldn't leave as I wandered off. Just how many others would have remembered what their father had said and ignored the advert?
What if everyone ignored the message for the same reason and no-one checked her out. How would that make her feel, might she interpret the lack of response to the simplest of messages in the most prominent places, as the biggest rejection of all?
By the time we arrived at the park I had decided what I would, if I could find her I would trust my instincts. No plans, no expectations just a simple introduction exercise and see what happens....
Some say its a dogs life.... I tend to agree
